Elmer Gardens Ribbon Cutting

Recently, we celebrated the ribbon cutting for one of our new properties, Elmer Gardens, a senior living community in Schenectady, NY. This milestone reflects the strong collaboration and shared commitment that made the project a success and continues our long-term investment in the neighborhood.

Through the preservation and rehabilitation of the former Elmer Avenue Elementary School, Elmer Gardens transforms a historic community landmark into much-needed housing for seniors. This project represents our second effort to revitalize the Eastern Avenue corridor that began with the two-site Renaissance Square property, and reinforces our commitment to sustainable, community-driven redevelopment.

We extend our sincere thanks to our extraordinary partner Better Community Neighborhoods, Inc. (BCNI) and to all of our project partners, including New York State Homes & Community Renewal, Schenectady County Metroplex Development Authority, The Community Preservation Corporation, KeyBank, Redstone Equity Partners, and Schenectady County, whose expertise and dedication helped bring Elmer Gardens to life.

Elmer Gardens is now open at full capacity and serving residents. We are proud of the positive and lasting impact these investments are having on the community!
